The 2024 VERITY/Brigham Course in Rheumatology Clinical Research will be held Tuesday, April 2, to Friday, April 5, 2024, in Boston, MA at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. The VERITY Course is a 4-day course aimed at early-stage (typically residents, fellows or junior faculty) investigators pursuing clinical/patient-oriented/epidemiologic research studies in rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases. Participants will develop or refine a research protocol or specific aims for a grant proposal during the course. The course is paid for by a grant from NIH-NIAMS and thus free to attendees.
WHAT: 4-day course aimed at early-stage (typically residents, fellows, or junior faculty) investigators pursuing clinical/patient-oriented/epidemiologic research studies in rheumatic musculoskeletal, or dermatologic diseases. Participants will develop or refine a research protocol or specific aims for a grant proposal during the course. The course is free (attendees or their program should cover travel and lodging).
WHO: Early-stage investigators (typically residents, fellows, or junior faculty) pursuing clinical/patient-oriented/epidemiologic research studies in rheumatic musculoskeletal, or dermatologic diseases.
WHEN/WHERE: Tuesday, April 2, to Friday, April 5, 2024. We will follow all public health guidelines regarding COVID, but we plan on an in-person format. Those accepted into the course will need to travel to Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA. We will offer a limited number of travel scholarships.
